This is a site for a little girl who was abducted from her uncles garden and raped twice and then
strangled. Her little body was found by someone walking his dog. Sophie Hook was just 7 yrs old and
she left her mum Julie and sisters Jemma & Ellie and her brother Joe. I didnt know her personally
but i have a hatred for people who do this to young children.
The person responsible has been caught and he is in prison but thats no relief to her
family.......it won't bring their darling Sophie back but by doing this for them it keeps her memory
alive and that will never be taken away.

She was so very, very special
And was so from the start

Even though it hasn't been long

But not having you here seems so unreal.
I feel like I'm living in a dream -

And with your short life, I know I wasn't done
With teaching and loving and caring that's true,
And all of life's treasures I wanted for you.
I keep thinking what would I do,
If I had another moment to say I love you.
How would I fill that moment I long of,
Except with words conveying my love.
I can't be thankful for what I have not -
But do try and be thankful for all I got.
The time with you so short and sweet,
You always were "mum's special treat."
Lord - my strength is ebbing from yesterday,

We didn't know how much you would teach us

For true love sometimes means letting go
Of someone precious and dear.
That is what we were forced to do...
Although we wanted to keep you here!!!
However, this is quite a selfish wish.
One we know we should ignore...
But, sweet Sophie, we truly do believe
That God must have needed you more...
Perhaps to be an Angel now,
Full of wisdom and love...
Watching over those of us who love you
From the shining stars above.
We miss you more than you can know.
You will never be replaced...
In our hearts and memories forever,
Will be your sweet and sleeping face.

Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
So He picks a little rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, so He takes but a few
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult still, somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "goodbye".
So when a child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children... angels are hard to find.
